Your fruitfulness in life is directly tied to the words of your mouth. The fruits of your mouth determine the fruits in your life. Many people’s stagnation today can be traced back to the negative words they spoke over their lives in the past. Your environment and background don’t solely determine your fruitfulness in life. You can be fruitful irrespective of your background or environment by the words of your mouth. What you say has the power to shape your destiny and unlock your full potential.
Beloved, if you want to be fruitful in life, watch your words. I recall someone who called me for prayer and the first words that came out of his mouth was: “Sir, things are still tough for me o.” How can things get better for someone with that mindset? The devil always tricks us into focusing on what is lacking in our lives. But think about it; what God has done for you is more than what He hasn’t done. The truth is, someone else is even praying to be where you are now. God has given you the power to speak life. Use it wisely. The Bible says: “Life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Prov 18:21).
Instead of talking about your problems, declare what you want to see happen. Your words have the power to create your world. The Bible says: “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled” (Prov 18:20). To be fruitful, speak wisely and positively, and you’ll be amazed at the good things (fruits) that will fill your life. Be smart, and be wise!
