ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen” (Mark 16:20)
- DAILY PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let your Word through the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
The apostles were a remarkable group of people who demonstrated extraordinary fruitfulness. Their stories in the Bible offer valuable lessons for us today. Mark 3:14-15 says, the apostles were called to be with Jesus so He could send them out to preach. Knowing their purpose and giving it all it takes, contributed to their fruitfulness. If we’re going to be fruitful like them, we must understand our purpose and be committed to it.
However, there are two key secrets about them in today’s anchor scripture that I want to highlight below:
- God was working with them. Beloved, until God works with you, your efforts won’t produce the desired fruits, they won’t yield lasting results. The Bible says: “Except the Lord build a house, the builder builds in vain…” (Psalm 127:1). Disconnecting from God guarantees nothing but failure, fruitlessness, and defeat. Just like the success of any product in the market is determined by its manufacturer, our fruitfulness in life is determined by God – our Manufacturer. Reconnect back to God today, that’s the only way to be fruitful in God’s way.
- God was confirming the word with signs following. Beloved, for God to work with you, give Him His word to confirm. That is, speak out His Word in every situation you find yourself. Speaking out God’s Word in any situation commits Him to act. Many wait for miracles, not realising that the power to create miracles lies within them, through speaking out the Word of God. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Speak God’s Word over that situation today, and He will confirm it with signs following (Mark 11:23, Isaiah 44:26).
PROPHETIC PRAYER: The Word of God you speak over that situation today will come to pass speedily in your life, in Jesus name.
