TEXT: “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10)
Today, I will like to digress a little from our series on the secret to answered prayer.
In view of the prophetic focus for the month of November (Our month of Answered Prayer), the Lord laid it in my heart to set up an intercessory prayer platform for the Morning Tea Devotional Family from tomorrow Friday to the end of the year.
This is to enable a wide range of intercession among us for issues of concern in our lives. Praying for one another is one of the fastest ways to receive answers to your own prayers. Remember, in today’s anchor scripture, Job’s captivity was turned “when” he prayed for his friends. The Bible also says that we should “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” (Gal 6:2). As we stand in the place of prayer for ourselves concerning issues of concern, I see rain of answered prayers in Jesus name.
Further more, Peter was kept in prison awaiting execution, but prayer was made without ceasing for him by his brethren and he was released supernaturally (Acts 12:1-17). There is power in intercession. No wonder Apostle Paul said “Brethren pray for us” (1Thes 5:25).
