TEXT: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jer 33:3)
Understanding is the secret behind anything outstanding in the kingdom of God. If you understand ways by which God answers prayers, you will experience unending answers and prayer will be a delight. How God answers prayer is vital if we will enjoy speedy and consistent answers to our prayers.
God answers prayers in different ways. One of the ways He answers prayers is what Prophet Jeremiah pointed out in today’s anchor scripture. He said, when we pray, God answers us by showing us what to do. A good biblical example of this is when Elijah prayed to God when he was on the run because of Jezebel’s threat, God showed Elijah what to do in answer to his prayer (1Kings 19:4-18). I’m very sure that God must have answered many of your prayers by showing you steps to take. How many of such steps have you taken? Many people have ignored some of these instructional steps because to them, they sound ridiculous and they have remained in the same spot as a result.
When you pray, watch out for divine instructions on steps to take to bring your answers. There’s no point praying when you are not ready to obey God’s instructions.
Most of these instructions, if not all, are in the Bible. Have you been praying for financial breakthrough and yet ignoring the covenant practices such as tithe, offering, giving, sowing seed, etc? In every situation, your prayer should be more of “Oh God what do you want me to do or what step do you want me to take?” When what to do is revealed to you, dive into it without hesitation and your prayers shall return with answers!
