THE BEAUTY OF EASTER

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross” (Col 2:14).

• PERSONAL PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”

I wish every lover of MTD Family a happy Easter celebration. The blessings of the resurrection shall manifest in your life and destiny, in Jesus name.

In the movie “The Passion of the Christ,” Jesus was nailed to the cross. Mel Gibson, the director of the movie, was the one that played the role of a Roman soldier who hammered the nails into Jesus’ hands. When he was asked why he chose to play this part, his reply was: “Because it was my sin that put Jesus there; it was my sin that was nailed to the cross.”

Jesus didn’t just take away one man’s sin; He took away the sins of the whole world. So, whose sin was it that put Jesus on the cross? It was your sin, my sin, and the sins of the whole world. When Jesus was on the cross, you and I were on His mind. He took away our sins and nailed them to the cross.

Beloved, we don’t need to live in shame or condemnation because of our sins; they’ve been taken away. Hallelujah! Jesus nailed them to the cross! It’s by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour that we receive this promise by faith.

Jesus’ arms are open wide to receive you. He says, “My son/daughter, come back home. This is why I died for you so you won’t have to die again. I suffered so you won’t have to suffer. I shed my blood so you don’t have to shed yours.” Beloved, this is the beauty of Easter!

PROPHETIC PRAYER: I pray that the beauty of this season will reflect in your life and destiny, in Jesus name.
