DAY 4 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed” (James 1:25)
The greatest gift given to mankind by God is not the gift of sight but the gift of vision. Many people operate their lives today based on sight instead on vision. Vision is seeing with your heart more than what your physical eyes see. Sight is a function of the eyes while vision is a function of the heart. This year you need to see with your heart than your eyes can look.
In this ongoing fast, I encourage you to picture your life from the word of God. Seeing yourself through the mirror of God’s word is what energizes your vision. Vision is not the dream you had while sleeping, vision is seeing you the way God sees you from the word. My counsel to you this morning is that you should let the word of God determine your actions and reactions this year. Be careful of what you see because what you see is your entitlement whether good or bad.
However, what is in this prayer and fasting?
FAVOUR
When Queen Esther was contacted by Mordecai about a challenge that the Jews were facing, Esther told Mordecai to engage in a fast with her and her maidens for three days. After the fast, she received divine favour. She said: “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days…And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight…” (Esther 4:16; 5:2). Prayer and fasting is a platform for securing favour from God.
PRAYER: I see waves of strange favour in our midst this year and your own shall manifest, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
DAY 4 PRAYER GUIDELINES:
- Father, in the name of Jesus, let my life and destiny come under strange favour this year 2024 (Ps 102:13-15).
- Father, every projection of backwardness in my life this year is arrested by the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name (Prov 4:18).
- Father, we make demand for your sustainable grace on MTD for global impact this year 2024, in Jesus name (1Cor 15:10).
- Ask God for other things (Phil 4:6).
