DAY 5 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved” (Habakkuk 2:1)
Vision is a vital force in determining the outcome of one’s life. However, as good as vision is, it cannot originate from self. It can only be received from God through fervent prayer and fasting. Prophet Habakkuk in today’s anchor scripture felt that something was wrong with the people of Israel that demanded urgent answer, and he concluded that the only way to get the answer is to set himself apart in prayer to receive it from God. He needed the vision that pertained to the plan of God for them, and he went all out for it on the altar of prayer and fasting.
Beloved child of God, genuine vision is generated on the altar of prayer. God saw the step Habakkuk took and He revealed the answer he needed to him, the vision was released and God told him to write it down and make it plain (Hab 2:2). In this season of prayer and fasting, be determined to engage the altar of prayer to receive the agenda of God for your life for this year 2024. Don’t be too busy that you don’t have time to pray. It is in praying that the Holy Spirit opens you up to the agenda of God for your life. You will not miss it, in Jesus name.
However, what is in this prayer and fasting?
FRESH OIL
We encounter fresh oil on the altar of prayer and fasting. The Bible says: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). Just like it takes fresh oil to keep the engine of a car in top gear, we also require fresh oil to keep our spirit-man buoyant and vibrant. The fresh oil that keeps our spiritual life buoyant is derived on the altar of prayer and fasting. You are blessed!
PRAYER: The Hand of God is moving on your life this year for complete change of story, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
DAY 5 PRAYER GUIDELINES:
- Father, open up to me your agenda for my life and destiny this year 2024, in Jesus name (Hab 2:1-2).
- Father, I ask that you help me by your Spirit this year not to miss my steps in destiny, in Jesus name (Ps 37:23).
- Father, we pray for the release of fresh oil upon your servants, Pst Israel & Janefrancess Olorunfemi, for tireless pursuit of Morning Tea Devotional mandate, in Jesus name (Ps 92:10).
- Ask God for other things (Phil 4:6).
