ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” (Luke 2:10b)
OBJECTIVE:
“To help MTDians understand that Jesus Christ is God’s gift of joy to the world, sent to end sorrow and restore hope.”
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, speak to me directly via today’s Morning Tea Devotional, in Jesus name – Amen.“
The coming of Jesus Christ into the world is God’s answer to the sorrow of humanity. When Christ was born, joy was released to the whole world. His birth marked the beginning of the end of pain, guilt, condemnation, and hopelessness. Jesus is God’s gift sent to terminate sorrow in the lives of men.
Where you receive Jesus into your life, sorrow loses its right to remain in you. Many people celebrate the season, yet still carry heavy burdens because they have not fully surrendered their lives to Him. Beloved, true joy is not found in events, gifts, or celebrations, but in a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
In this season, make up your mind to surrender fully to Him and to serve Him faithfully. When you give Him your heart, He replaces mourning with joy and turns despair into praise. The joy Jesus gives is not temporary; it is lasting and victorious, and no circumstance can take it away.
To surrender your life to Jesus, pray this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to you today. Forgive my sins, come into my heart, and make me a new person. I receive you today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus name. Amen.”
