TEXT: “For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not” (2Cor 8:12)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let your Word via today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Let me start today by saying that God is not a taskmaster, He will never place any burden on us to serve Him. However, He always wants us to put in our best at every service we render to Him. Complaining while serving is the
evidence that you are not happy and if you’re not happy while serving, your service is not acceptable to God.
Therefore, serving God acceptably demands:
- WILLINGNESS. If your service to God will be acceptable and rewarded, serve Him willingly. King David admonished Solomon his son said: “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts:..” (1Chro 28:9). Willingness in service is the requirement to see returns of God’s blessing for our service.
Don’t allow God to notice any attitude of reluctance in your service to Him. Don’t drag your feet in the things of God. With God, actions are weighed. Don’t wait for any external motivation to do what is right for God and His work. God is watching all you do for Him. If you serve with a grumbling attitude, your service is wasted. Let the devil know that no one is pressuring you to serve God. When you’re willing and obedient serving God, then, you shall be rewarded (Isaiah 1:19).
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Grace to live for God and to serve Him to the point of rewards is released on you today, in Jesus name.
