TEXT: “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it” (Matt 16:25)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let your Word via today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
God does not use someone without providing adequate compensation for the service rendered. Serving God is not meant to punish us, but to furnish our lives and destinies. However, our service must possess certain qualities to be considered acceptable to God. One of these qualities is:
- SACRIFICE: Your service to God must be sacrificial to attract unmatchable rewards. This is one of the things that makes many people change their minds when they discover the real meaning of sacrifice. Sacrifice involves giving up something dear to you, it creates a vacuum inside you, but ultimately, it returns with abundant joy.
Sacrifice can be defined as “the act of giving up something you want to keep, especially to get something else or to help.” We must learn to sacrifice our time, talents, finances, energy, and everything we have for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
Sacrifice will take something away from you, but what really matters is the rewards you will receive in return. Morning Tea Devotional is one of our sacrifices for the expansion of the Kingdom of God, and this has been the case close to 12 years now. We consciously sacrifice our comfort, rising from bed at 12:00 a.m. everyday, to ensure the word of God is circulated. All glory to God, who enables us by His Spirit.
The point is, sacrifice will make you forget your comfort zone; it will surely take something away from you. When you serve God with this mindset, you will surely be blessed; it’s just a matter of time.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Grace to lay down what is required so as to enjoy the blessings of God in return is yours today and always, in Jesus name.
