TEXT: “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful” (1Cor 4:1-2).
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let your Word via today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Faithfulness is a fundamental requirement for acceptable service. To qualify for God’s rewards, demonstrate faithfulness, sincerity, and truthfulness. Being faithful means being dependable, reliable, and trustworthy, and it leads to abundant rewards from God.
The question is, can you be depended upon, relied upon, and trusted to deliver and do the work of God without failing? Answering these questions is crucial to serving God acceptably and receiving rewards from Him.
Beware of eye-service, that is, serving to gain recognition. The Bible says: “Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men” (Eph 6:6-8). Serve with ‘faithfulness’ from the heart, not with ‘facefulness’ that is superficial.
Beloved, strive to cultivate faithfulness in your service to God for rewards, not human recognition. Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
PROPHETIC PRAYER: May your service to God be rewarded openly this month and onwards, in Jesus name.
