TEXT: “The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men” (Joel 1:12)

  • PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life into a better one, in Jesus name – Amen.”

Joy is the door to amazing miracles. When you pray, fast, give, and nothing happens, check your joy level. Joy is the key to the move of God that brings laughter. Abraham was strong in faith giving glory to God (Rom 4:20). This shows Abraham was a joyful man in spite of his challenges.

Remember this: “Your laughter starts with joy in your heart.” The Bible says: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Rom 14:17). Are you facing challenges right now? Hold on to joy. It guarantees swift answers to prayer that will fill your mouth with laughter. Don’t let your present circumstances steal your joy.

Apart from swift answers to prayers, there are other benefits you enjoy when you’re always joyful.

These includes:

  1. Divine Strength. Strength is what guarantees victory in battles (Neh 8:10, Pro 24:5,10).
  2. Divine Health. A man that is not healthy cannot experience genuine laughter (Prov 17:22).

God’s Word says: “Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee…” (Deut 28:47-48). That shall not be your portion, in Jesus name!

PRAYER: Receive the baptism of the spirit of joy today, in Jesus name.
