TEXT: “And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities” (Luke 19:17)
OPENING PRAYER: “Father, I recognize that your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, I ask that it penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
As pointed out last Friday, there are some hindrances that must be addressed if our divine lifting/promotion must become a reality. We began by identifying sin as one of the primary hindrances because sin brings people down. It is impossible to rise while continue to sin.
Today, we delve deeper into another significant hindrance to divine lifting, which is unfaithfulness. To experience God’s promotion or elevation, we must first demonstrate our faithfulness. Pls, be aware that faithfulness is not just a virtue; it’s a prerequisite for promotion in life.
God evaluates our faithfulness in three key areas. When you prove yourself faithful in these areas, you are set for God to lift you. What are these areas?
- SMALL TASKS: Can you faithfully manage the mundane, everyday responsibilities without complaints and murmur? Do you complete tasks on time and with diligence? If your answer is No, then you are not faithful.
- MANAGING MONEY: Are you trustworthy with the financial resources God gives to you? Do you handle money with wisdom, with integrity, and generosity? If you cannot boldly say Yes, it means you’re not faithful.
- HANDLING OTHERS’ RESOURCES: Can you be relied upon to manage someone else’s assets, time, or trust? The Bible says: “If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?” (Luke 16:12).
Promotion means more responsibility and anyone who has been found unfaithful in his or her present level cannot be promoted to the next level. In the school of God, no one is promoted on trial!
Are you faithful at your present level? There is no divine lifting for an unfaithful person. Pick up your assignments again beloved, and step up your faithfulness for God to lift you.
