TEXT: “And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women’s house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her” (Esther 2:11)
OPENING PRAYER: “Father, I recognize that your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, I ask that it penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Today, I want to emphasize that no scriptural prophecy fulfills itself automatically. Recipients of prophecy must align and realign themselves to facilitate its fulfillment. Prophetic words may never materialize in our lives unless we conform to scriptural guidelines.
As we delve into the stories of biblical figures who received divine lifting, we notice common traits that prepared them for God’s promotion. Let’s examine these traits today and tomorrow and apply these them to our own lives so as to position ourselves for divine lifting too.
- KEEP YOURSELF. If you desire divine lifting, you must maintain purity. Stop lying and stop engaging in activities that don’t glorify God. Stop selling your body under the guise of “use what you have to get what you need,” for it will only lead to downfall, not uplift. Esther’s life exemplifies this truth. She kept herself pure, unlike many young women of her time. She was a virgin, symbolizing purity and holiness (Esther 2:7).
- LOYALTY AND COMMITMENT. Your level of commitment and loyalty in your current workplace will determine your promotion. Consider Mordecai’s example. Despite Haman’s plot against him, Mordecai remained dedicated to his duties, even under Haman’s authority. His unwavering commitment led him to save the king’s life. This selfless act paved the way for his divine promotion to second-in-command in a land where he was once a slave. To experience similar lifting beloved, maintain purity and demonstrate unwavering commitment and loyalty to your assigned role.
