DAY 5 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life into a better one, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Let me start by saying that God’s commandments always come with rewards. Seeking God through prayer and fasting, as commanded, yields numerous benefits for believers. We’ve explored these benefits so far. Let’s explore more.
Fasting and prayer increase our capacity to receive from God.
Do you need God’s power to turn things around in specific areas of your life? Are you willing to invest in prayer and fasting to experience God’s intervention in these areas? Esther’s story in today’s anchor scripture serves as a powerful reminder that fervent prayer and fasting can turn things around, just as it did for her people, securing their deliverance from Haman.
Beloved, taming your appetite is crucial for spiritual victory. This fasting and prayer will bring answers to all long-standing issues of your life, as it increases your capacity to receive from God, and empowering you to conquer spiritual strongholds.
The first act of Jesus on earth was fasting. Dear MTDian, if you haven’t fully engaged in this spiritual exercise, decide today to benefit from it.

- Father, everyone called barren in the MTD Family, shall be supernaturally visited after the order of Sarah this year, in Jesus name (Gen 21:1-6).
- Father, let the eyes of every MTDian be opened to what we must do to bring home our rewards this year, in Jesus name (Acts 16:30-34).
- Father, make MTD a platform for the rise of kingdom giants this year and beyond, in Jesus name (Psalm 87:1-7)
- Now, present your requests to God (Phil 4:6).
DAILY DECLARATION: “This year, 2025, I step into my New Era of Dominion by the Wisdom of God and I commit to serving God faithfully by the help of the Holy Spirit. As a result, my Rewards shall manifest quickly. Amen and amen.”
