ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry” (Psalm 40:1)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, instruct me by your Word today, in Jesus name – Amen.”
We have fasted and prayed, what do we do next to lay hold of our answers? As mentioned yesterday, turn your prayer points into thanksgiving points.
There’s something else to do.
Wait patiently on God for your answers. Waiting on God for answers to prayers is one of the hardest things to do if you’re not strong in the Lord (Eph 6:10,13). There are times when we pray with everything in us, hoping to see changes, yet nothing changes, the same status quo. It is easy to wait with great expectancy for God to answer. But as the days, weeks, months, and even years roll by with no visible answer, we can begin to wonder whether God is even listening.
What to do at this period of waiting is what I want to point out today as we begin to round up the month:
- Don’t stop praying. We can be tempted to reduce the intensity of our prayers when the answers are not coming as expected. Beloved, don’t fall victim to this trick. Remember, only those who endure to the end shall be saved.
- You must realize that God is at work even when you cannot see Him. Prophet Habakkuk wondered whether God was listening to his prayer, not knowing that God was already working to address the very problems he was praying about (Read Habk 1 & 2). Dear child of God, God’s silence does not mean God is not working behind the scenes.
- Be sure you haven’t rejected God’s answer. You need to genuinely answer this question: “Is God truly asking me to wait, or am I just looking for a different answer?” Many are stuck in life because they rejected God’s answer simply because it was contrary to their expectations. Examine yourself.
One thing I am very sure of is this: your desired testimonies shall manifest in this first quarter of the year, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
So, I say to you today, go and manifest your testimonies, in Jesus name.
