TEXT: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and and shape my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
I want to assure you by the Word of God that there shall be heavy rain of answers to prayers this season in the MTD Family, and yours will be included, in Jesus name.
However, we need to deal with another obstacle – INGRATITUDE.
Ingratitude is a silent barrier to answered prayers. It is a heart condition that hinders prayers and limits God’s blessings. It subtly commonizes God’s acts, making us overlook His goodness, no matter how small. Failing to acknowledge and appreciate God creates a barrier to answered prayers.
I therefore encourage you to switch your focus to thanksgiving. You might not have seen it yet but God has set the process rolling just as God set the process of Saul becoming a king rolling by the missing donkeys (1Sam 9 & 10).
When you pray according to God’s will, He hears you. And since He hears you, you know that you have received the petitions that you asked of Him (1John 5:14-15). So, the next step is to thank Him until you see the manifestation of what you asked for.
Rather than repeatedly asking for the same thing, shift your focus to thanking God for them. Transform your requests into expressions of gratitude. This simple yet powerful attitude will amaze you, as you witness God’s profound intervention in that issue of concern.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: As you thank God in faith for those expectations, you shall experience a sudden and miraculous manifestation of God’s Power in your life in Jesus name.
