TEXT: “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Heb 6:12)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Word. Let your Word via today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and and shape my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Let me start by letting you know that God is not a prayer-storing God, He’s the prayer-answering Father. Yet, why are some prayer unanswered. Another reason for this is:
2. IMPATIENCE. Impatience is the opposite of patience. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit. It’s the ability to wait with the right attitude. Patience is not just waiting on God but waiting without complaining. Patience is a requirement to see answers to prayers.
Beloved, there’s is a waiting period between praying and receiving answers. Some answers could be instant while some you have to wait with the right attitude for God’s own time. For He makes all things beautiful in His time (Eccl 3:11).
Just as a farmer waits for harvest after sowing seeds, you must learn to wait for your prayers to be answered (Hab 2:2-3).
God answers prayers in processes. Learn to walk through your own process. Sometimes, God has already set things in motion, but we give up before the end of the process.
Prayer is like placing an order online. The order has to be processed and shipped before it gets to your destination. Similarly, our prayers require processing, we must wait in faith and expectation.
If you have faith, you will be patient. Patience is one of the proofs of faith. The Bible says “…he that believeth shall not make haste.” (Isaiah 28:16b). When you’re anxious over any issue, it means your faith is fading.
Dear child of God, let’s cultivate patience and trust God’s timing, knowing that He is a prayer-answering Father who desires to answer us.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Receive grace to wait patiently on God, in Jesus name.
