TEXT: “And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine…His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” (John 2:3-5 – Paraphrased)
PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Word. Let your Word via today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and and shape my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
We give glory to God for the success of our 21-day prayer and fasting and for the testimonies! There shall be outpouring of answers this season, in Jesus name. To fully receive these answers, let’s address the obstacles. Key causes of unanswered prayers includes:
1. DISOBEDIENCE. One of the root causes of many unanswered prayers today is disobedience to divine instructions. This was the case with Adam and Eve, who lost their place in the Garden of Eden due to their disobedience. When we receive instructions in response to our prayers, prompt obedience is what brings the answers.
Delayed answers to prayer are often due to disobeying, ignoring or misunderstanding God’s instructions, not just demonic interference. When your prayer seems unanswered, ask: “Am I disobeying a divine instruction?” The Bible says: “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19). The greatest blessings come when we obey God.
Answers to prayers are often found in the place of obedience to divine instructions. For instance, in John 2:1-7, Mary, the mother of Jesus, received an answer to her prayer (request for wine) when her servants obeyed Jesus’ instruction. God always rewards obedience to instructions, which can come through personal study of the Word or through a man of God.
As you await answers to your prayers this season, remember that obedience is key. Be attentive to God’s voice, whether through scripture or prophetic guidance, and respond with prompt obedience.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Grace to obey God promptly is yours this season and always, in Jesus name.
