TEXT: “Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart” (Psalms 119:34)
Understanding is the secret behind any outstanding endeavor in life. By the help of the Holy Spirit, I want to tell you what thanksgiving is so that you can take advantage of it this season and onwards. Thanksgiving is a mystery. A mystery is a hidden truth. There is one mystery that can put one above any situation in life and that mystery is thanksgiving.
What is thanksgiving?
Bishop Abioye defines thanksgiving as “appreciating God for a small thing in a big way.” Lots of people take the acts of God in their lives as small and insignificant. The truth is that if you thank God when He blessed you with a thousand Naira the way you will thank Him if He blesses with a million Naira, you are on your way to getting the blessing of a million Naira. But most times, what people do is to ignore what they call small thing, fixing their eyes on the big thing and by so doing they ended in frustration. From today beloved, celebrate the acts of God in your life in a big way no matter how small it is. No act of God should be considered small.
If you want to see the mighty acts of God in your life the remaining days of this year and onwards, thank Him in a big way for the things He has done in your life. Pst David Oyedepo Jnr said: “What God gives to you first is not His best but a test to see whether you are ready for the rest.” The truth is that God will not release the next miracle to you unless you thank Him for the last one He did in your life. So beloved, today count your blessings and name them one by one, it will surprise you what the Lord has done for you this year 2023 and give Him thanks.
He is indeed Faithful!
PRAYER: What you thank God for today shall increase in your life before the end of the year, in Jesus name.
