(Prayer Focus: Intense Thanksgiving)
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
“And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?” (1Kings 19:9)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for today’s Morning Tea Devotional. As I go through it, speak to me and minister to my heart, in Jesus name – Amen.“
Another important secret of answered prayers is sensitivity to the voice of God. Elijah was in a cave praying that God should take his life, God answered him with a word. The Bible says the word of the Lord came to him. The answer he needed came as a word from the Lord.
Beloved, God still answers prayers today, and more often than not, His answer comes as a word, something He says to guide, correct, or encourage us. You need to be sensitive to the voice of God for the delivery of answers to your prayers. The difference between quick answers and delayed ones is how attentive we are to the voice of God.
When you pray, don’t rush away. Give more time to listen to God. One of the ways God speaks to us after praying is through His Word. It could be during Bible study, while reading anointed books, or listening to messages from the altar, and even through daily devotionals like Morning Tea Devotional. These are some of the channels through which God gives answers when we pray.
So, as we’re approaching the end of our fast, let your prayer and the study of the Word go together. The answers you are looking for are already written in there.
