TEXT: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38)
When the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse of it is inevitable. As we approach the end of the month, it is important we examine the purpose of the Power of God in our lives. This becomes necessary because, many have hijacked the Power of God for personal gain. Understanding the reasons for God’s Power in the Church is crucial to wielding it wisely, and honoring its original intent.
Today’s anchor scripture shows us one of the purposes of the Power of God in our lives. Jesus was empowered by the Holy Ghost and the purpose is to make a positive impact on people’s lives. He used the Power of God in Him to do good, to heal the afflicted, and to free people from the devil’s grip. This means that the purpose of the Power of God in our lives is not for personal gain but to meet people’s needs and to make meaningful impacts in their lives.
You need to be conscious that you are a solution to your generation to appreciate the Power of the Holy Spirit in your life. Your salvation marked the beginning of your purposeful journey. You’re destined to make a positive impact in the lives of the people around you. However, to fully embrace this divine assignment, you need the Power of the Holy Spirit. Without it, your efforts will be limited, but with it, you will become an unstoppable force, bringing transformation, and light to those around you.
My prayer for you this morning is that God will empower you with a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit, making you a solution carrier wherever you go, in Jesus name. The same Power that enabled Jesus to be the Ultimate Solution to the needs of humanity shall rest on your life today, equipping you to make positive impacts from this day forward, in Jesus name.
