ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, WAIT FOR IT; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habk 2:3 – Emphasis mine)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, open my eyes to see what you have for me as I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, in Jesus name – Amen.“
I want you to know today that when God gives you a vision or a promise, He also sets an appointed time for its fulfilment. Manifestation doesn’t happen just because we want it, it happens when our preparation meets God’s timing. Prophet Habakkuk reminds us in today’s anchor scripture that even if it feels like the promise is taking forever, it will surely manifest. But while we’re waiting for it to manifest, God expects us to be getting ready.
Look at Joseph. At age 17, he had a dream that he will be a leader, but the dream had a timetable with God. Serving in Potiphar’s house, facing false accusations, and sitting in prison were not signs that God had forgotten him, they were part of God’s preparation plan. By the time his season came, he was not just a dreamer anymore; he was a man who could lead a nation.
David’s story is the same. When Samuel poured oil on his head, he was not crowned the following day. God sent him back to look after sheep, play music for Saul, and fight battles in the wilderness. All of that was training, so that when the crown came, his heart was ready to handle it.
Beloved, the waiting time is not wasting time, it’s God’s building time. If the promise seems slow, don’t quit. Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep your heart right. When your appointed time arrives, the vision will speak for itself, and nothing will be able to silence it.
Your waiting season is not God punishing you, it’s God preparing you. Every single day you choose to work on yourself instead of worrying, you’re stepping closer to that appointed time. From today’s anchor scripture, God is saying: “I haven’t forgotten you. I’m just making sure you’re ready.” So instead of asking, “When will it happen?” begin to ask, “Lord, make me ready to handle it when it happens.”
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
I pray that your waiting season will not be wasting season, in Jesus name.
