TEXT: “And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, after make for thee and for thy son” (1Kings 17:13)
To unlock the power to get wealth, let’s examine a vital principle from Elijah’s story: setting priority right! You must learn to put first things first, and align your priorities with God’s kingdom. When you prioritize rightly, you will attract the power to get wealth and experience abundance in every area of your life.
When the woman told Elijah her problem, Elijah gave an interesting response: “And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.”
The word ‘make me a little cake first’ in this instruction is significant. It is teaching us that prioritizing God’s kingdom comes first. By giving Him the first and the best of our resources, we demonstrate our trust in His provision and open ourselves up to receive His abundant blessings. This principle applies to every area of life, including our finances, relationships, and goals. When we put God first, His Power and provision will flow into our lives, meeting our needs and exceeding our expectations. Beloved, make God your top priority, and watch Him work wonders in your life!
The second principle is that of obedience. Put yourself in the widow’s situation, with only a handful of flour and a little oil remaining. When Elijah asks her to give him first, it seems like a foolish and insensitive request. Yet, in that story we learn that obedience to divine instructions is what unlocks God’s miraculous provision. Disobedience has led many to miss opportunities and blessings in life. Many have been destined by God to be a generational blessing, but disobedience has held them back. As we conclude the subject of Power to bring forth today, remember that obedience is one of the keys to unlocking God’s Power to get wealth.
