TEXT: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6)
I warmly welcome you to MTD Covenant Day of Mercy, the Lord, by His mercy shall make this week your week of remarkable testimonies, in Jesus name! We glorify God for empowering us to complete the 14-day MTD annual fast, and we trust that our prayers are answered, leading to outstanding testimonies this week, in Jesus name!
We have fasted and prayed but prayer is incomplete without thanksgiving. Prayer and supplication must be followed with thanksgiving for it to return as answer. You can pray amiss but you cannot thank God amiss. Your prayer can be rejected by God especially when it is not in line with His will but not thanksgiving. Thanksgiving always attracts God to move in your favour.
Your desires in line with the promises of God for this month of July is still obtainable, not with tears, shout, murmuring or complaining but with thanksgiving which is the will of God. “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise” (Heb 10:36). The will of God mentioned above is thanksgiving. The Bible says “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1Thes 5:18). Until you do His will (thanksgiving), you are not qualified to obtain the promise (your answer).
Thanksgiving empowers our prayer for results. What are you anticipating from God before the month is over? It can be delivered to you by your genuine thanksgiving. I encourage you to engage in intense thanksgiving to God for what He has done and in anticipation for what He’s yet to do and you will see the manifestation of your testimony like a dream of the night. Grace to engage the altar of thanksgiving is released, in Jesus name.
ACTION STEP:
Today, don’t ask God for anything, give Him genuine thanks for answers to prayer and for the gift of life.
