TEXT: “Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; AND GLADNESS OF HEART…And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard…” (Isaiah 30:29-30)
How do we access the voice of God? Let’s continue from where we stopped yesterday.
- THROUGH JOY
We need joy to hear God’s voice of direction. If we are not joyful, our access to God will be blocked. Having access to the voice of God is a mystery that puts you in command of life’s circumstances. It takes joy to gain access into that mystery. It is a great secret for triumph. Joy must be in place before we can understand the things of God, for it is with joy that we draw instructions from God. The Bible says: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3).
It is written also: “For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth him in the joy of his heart” (Eccl 5:20).
Another benefit of joy is that it always guarantees answers to prayer. Many have lost their answers to lack of joy. It is not enough to pray, we must pray with the expectation to receive answers from God but, expectation in itself is not enough to get answers. We must ensure that our expectation is with joy and gladness. This is because it is joy and rejoicing that guarantees returns on our expectation.
When you’re sorrow-free, your life becomes testimony-full. It is not just praying that counts, but praying with joy and gladness because wherever joy is lacking, there can’t be harvest. “The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men (Joel 1:12). It is stated in scripture that God remembered Hannah and gave her Samuel when her countenance ceased to be sad (1Sam 1:13-19). Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, but he was full of joy, giving glory to God (Rom 4:20).
The reason why you have not seen answers is because of sadness of the heart. I admonish you today: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” you will hear His voice and your long awaited answers will be released.
PRAYER: I curse every trace of sorrow and sadness in your life that has hindered your answers today, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
