TEXT: “For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” (Psalms 5:12)
Like I mentioned yesterday, it does not cost God anything to decorate our life with favour if only we apply biblical principles. If you will attract uncommon favour this month and onwards, take note of the second factor:
- GODLINESS: One of the factors that attracts favour to us is godly lifestyle. When your life is void of worldliness, God puts on you His favour. From today’s anchor scripture, God will only compass the godly not the worldly with favour as with a shield. Men like Joseph, Job, and Daniel in the Bible were lifted by favour because they stood for godliness. Joseph said: “Shall I do this great wickedness and sin against God?” (Gen 39:9).
Godliness is when a believer become like God in His moral attributes. Godliness is the opposite of wordliness. It is either you are conformed to Christ and be godly or you’re conformed to the devil and be worldly.
The Bible says: “Shall we continue in sin, that grace (favour) may abound? God forbid” (Rom 6:1). Wherever sin thrives, the grace of God is disconnected. Grace is the favour of God in a man. Dear MTDians, if you don’t quit sin now, it will not only stop the flow of God’s favour in your life, it will also sink you. Sin is a stopper and a sinker. It is how godly you are that shows how much you value God and how much God will release His favour on you.
Godliness must be seen in what you do, in your appearance and in the way you live your life. It must show in your devotion to God, your attending Church services, your praying and in your giving to God and to His work. It must show in all areas of your life. Godliness is a clear evidence of your Christianity. Godliness is a display that you belong to God. Godliness is the fruit that people around you see and know that you belong to Jesus. So, how godly are you determines how you attract favour from God and men this month.
PRAYER: Grace to live a godly life so as to enjoy the favour of God is yours today, in Jesus name.

This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
