TEXT: “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart” (Psalm 37:4)
- PRAYER: “Father, I thank you for the transformative power of your Word. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your truth penetrate my heart and mind, bringing about a life-changing transformation, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Congratulations we are in the last week of our fasting and prayer. We thank God for the strength and grace to fast so far. God, who does not store prayers, will release all your answers before the end of this spiritual exercise, in Jesus name.
However, it is essential for us to know how to access answers to our prayers. While many of us know how to pray, few understand how to receive the answers we seek. Receiving answers to prayers always brings joy and delight! This week, let’s explore the keys to receiving answers to our prayers.
We understand from today’s anchor scripture that to access answers to our prayers, we must delight ourselves in the Lord. It says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of your heart.”
To delight means to get excited. Beloved, you need to get excited about this God who answers prayers. This excitement comes from a heart that’s deeply rooted in God’s love and promises, and it’s what fuels your faith to trust Him for answers. To delight also means to be joyful. Joy is a secret to receiving answers to prayer. Always express joy while waiting for your answer. This is where many people miss it. They get depressed when they don’t see answers to their prayers at the time they want it.
Bishop David Abioye said: “When you pray, God registers you, but when you get excited, God remembers you.” Do you want God to remember you before this month is over? Then get excited.
PRAYER: Every arrow of depression fired against you to rob you of your answers is returned to the senders today, in Jesus name.

TODAY’S PRAYER GUIDELINES:
- Father, thank you for the unusual grace upon us to fast in the ongoing prayer and fasting (Hosea 4:6).
- Father, break every siege of depression in anyone’s life this week, in Jesus name (Psalm 42:11).
- Father, appear to everyone of us by your Word this week and turn issues of concern in our lives to testimonies (Matt 21:13).
- Now, present your requests to God (Phil 4:6).
DAILY DECLARATION: “This year, 2025, I step into my New Era of Dominion by the Wisdom of God and I commit to serving God faithfully by the help of the Holy Spirit. As a result, my Rewards shall manifest quickly. Amen and amen.”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Joy is a secret to receiving answers to prayer. Always express joy while waiting for your answer.”
