ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them” (Acts 3:3-5)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for your Word all through the month. Open my eyes to behold wondrous things in your Word today, in Jesus name – Amen“
As we round off the month today, another major reason many people pray without seeing answers is lack of expectation. Prayer without expectation limits results. What you expect is what you will experience irrespective of the hours you spent praying or who prayed for you. The good news is, there is an end to that concern in your life, but your expectation is what brings that end into manifestation.
The lame man in today’s anchor scripture did not only ask, the Bible says he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something. He expected answers and his expectation opened the door for a greater miracle, he received healing, and his life changed forever.
However, Acts 12 shows us that it is possible to pray without expectation. While the Church prayed for Peter’s release, God answered swiftly, yet they struggled to believe when Peter stood at the door. They were praying, but not truly expecting an answer. That’s what has delayed many people’s answers today.
Beloved, expectation determines how you recognize and receive answers to your prayer this season. Your actions after prayer reveal what you truly believe. So, be sensitive and expectant, your answers will show up suddenly.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Congratulations shall be your portion this season, in Jesus name.
