21-DAY PRAYER & FASTING (DAY 19)
(Focus: Intense Thanksgiving)
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalm 100:4)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for your Word to me today. Open my eyes to see what you are saying, in Jesus name – Amen.“
Thanksgiving is the link between asking and receiving. Many people pray, but few remember to be thankful. If you want to see your prayers answered quickly, you must learn to say “thank you” to God even before the answer arrives.
In prayer we ask, but in thanksgiving we receive. In Phil 4:6, God tells us to bring our requests to Him with thanksgiving. Without gratitude, our prayer is like a phone call that has not been connected. Thanksgiving completes the connection.
When Jesus had to feed a crowd with just a few loaves of bread, He didn’t complain about the smallness. He gave thanks for what was available. That simple act of thanksgiving caused the food to multiply until everyone was full. Beloved, what you thank God for always increases.
When you thank God for what He did yesterday, you are telling Him you trust Him for today. It shows God that you have faith. Like Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus, thanking God before the miracle happens is the highest form of faith.
Don’t wait until the miracle happens to thank God. Thank Him now to make the miracle happen. Thanksgiving is the shortest path to your breakthrough.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
As you give thanks today, every door that was shut against you will open in Jesus name!
