21-DAY PRAYER & FASTING (DAY 9)
(Check the prayer guidelines below)

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified” (Isaiah 43:26)

PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for the grace to fast. Speak to me directly via today’s MTD, in Jesus name – Amen.

We return all the glory to God for the success of yesterday’s MTD Covenant Day of Mercy. Make it a date with us again on Monday next week.

We need to understand that not every prayer and fasting automatically produces results. The outcome depends largely on how we approach it. That is why this week, we shall look at the right way to approach prayer and fasting so that it truly becomes effective and delivers to us our desired results.

One major approach that makes prayer and fasting effective is the Word approach. When we come before God in fasting, we are actually standing before the throne of grace, which is also the throne of judgment. God, the righteous Judge of all the earth expects us to present our case with reasons (Isaiah 41:21).

Those reasons must be rooted in God’s Word. This is because God gives us audience on the basis of His Word, not on the basis of our emotions or opinions. The stronger our scriptural reasons, the greater our confidence that our prayers will be answered. When we engage God with His Word, we are assured that He will listen. That is why it is important to first locate the Word before approaching the prayer altar. This is because the Word is the foundation that gives weight to our prayer.

So today, I encourage you to search the Scriptures, find the Word of God that speaks directly to your situation, and take it back to Him in prayer.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
As you put this to work today, you will return with your answers today, in Jesus name.

PRAYER GUIDELINES:

  1. Thank God for answers to prayers so far (Ps 92:1-2).
  2. Pray that God will honour His Word in your life this season (Luke 1:45)
  3. Ask God to open strange and uncommon doors that will usher you into your next level of breakthrough (Rev 3:7-8)
  4. Pray that God removes every barrier standing between you and your next-level breakthrough this year (Isaiah 45:1-2)
  5. Ask for speed and grace to maximize the opportunity (Gen 24:27).
