ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16b)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, open my heart to your word today. Let today’s MTD stir my hunger for you. Draw me into a deeper place of prayer and encounter, in Jesus name – Amen.“
One factor that consistently attracts God’s attention is sincere and persistent prayer. All through Scripture, when people truly poured out their hearts to God in prayer, He responded. For instance, Hannah prayed earnestly, heaven opened and her barrenness ended. Cornelius prayed consistently, God sent an angel to his house which led to the salvation of his household. The children of Israel groaned in Egypt, God came down to deliver them.
God is not moved by religious routine, but by a genuine heart in prayer. Fervent prayer is not about how loud you are, it’s about pouring out your soul with faith and hunger. It’s not a one-time thing either. Consistency is key. It means praying even when you don’t feel like it. It means showing up at the altar of prayer until something happens.
Sometimes, we stop praying too early. We give up because we think God is silent. But the silence of God does not mean His absence. Behind the scenes, He is working. Your persistence in prayer is building something in the spirit. Your consistency in prayer is proof of your hunger for change. And your hunger is preparing your heart for God’s visitation.
Moreover, when you pray fervently and consistently, you’re not just changing your situation, you’re changing yourself. You’re becoming someone God can trust with His Presence. I declare fresh fire upon your prayer altar. You will not grow weary, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
God will meet you at the place of prayer this season and turn your story around in Jesus name.
