ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Let me start by saying that every believer has a deposit of the Holy Ghost at salvation, but to walk in the miracles, boldness, and power, one must build up that divine deposit. How? By praying in the Holy Ghost (in tongues).
Praying in tongues is not and should not be a one-time event. It is a daily discipline to help you grow stronger, bolder, and more effective in your walk of faith.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
- It builds you up spiritually. Praying in the Holy Ghost edifies you, strengthens your spirit. Just like a phone becomes useless when its battery runs down, a believer who does not pray in tongues regularly becomes spiritually weak and ineffective. Your spiritual battery is recharged when you spend time praying in tongues.
- It activates boldness and courage. The more you pray in tongues, the more confident you become in the Spirit. You will be able to take spiritual authority, confront fear, and walk in dominion when you pray in tongues regularly. Boldness is the key to operating in power, and it is birthed through praying in tongues.
- It helps you walk in the supernatural. Those who operate in the miraculous are those who pray much in the Holy Ghost. Tongues unlock the supernatural realm. If you want to flow in the gifts of the Spirit, hear God clearly, and do the impossible, then pray in tongues always.
- It keeps you spiritually alert. Many believers are spiritually asleep and unaware of what’s happening around them. But praying in tongues makes you sensitive to the Spirit, alert to divine direction, and quick to discern the enemy’s schemes.
If you pray in tongues only occasionally, you will be spiritually dry and weak. But if you do it consistently, you will walk in power, boldness, and victory. Make it a lifestyle. Start with just 5 minutes, then grow it. You will soon notice strength and clarity flowing into your life.
Take minimum 5 minutes today and pray in the Holy Ghost. Charge up your spirit and build yourself in the faith!
