ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8a)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Beloved, this is your season of empowerment! Power is not for show, it is a divine necessity for victorious living. Without it, our walk with God becomes ordinary and vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. But with the Power of the Holy Ghost at work in us, we can walk in boldness, authority, and dominion.
Jesus didn’t step into His public ministry until the Holy Ghost came upon Him at River Jordan. It was that encounter that drove Him into the wilderness to be empowered. And it was from that encounter that He silenced the voice of Satan and returned in the Power of the Spirit (Read Matt. 3:16-17; Luke 4:1-14).
This is the order: First the Holy Ghost, then the Power. Power never precedes the Holy Spirit, it follows Him. Peter’s story illustrates this truth powerfully. Before Pentecost, Peter trembled before a servant girl and denied Jesus. But after the outpouring of the Spirit in Acts 2, he roared like a lion and brought three thousand souls into the Kingdom in one message. The difference was not education or training, it was Power!
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Power, and where there is Power, there is boldness. Fear gives way to courage. “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of Power…” (2Tim 1:7). “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power..” (Acts 10:38). These are not just stories, they are prophetic patterns for our life!
This month, don’t settle for dryness in your walk with God. Cry out for fresh fire. Let your hunger birth an encounter. Desire the infilling of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and watch how God’s Power will break forth in your life like never before!
Wherever you are now, lift your hands and declare: “Father, baptize me afresh with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Let the evidence of speaking in tongues be made manifest in me, in Jesus name!”
