Have you ever wished for a sudden turnaround in your life? Maybe you’re facing a big challenge or struggling with a difficult situation right now. Whatever it is, beloved, God will turn things around for you suddenly. But instead of just waiting and wishing for that to happen, you need to take action.
The story of Jacob in today’s anchor scripture gives us valuable insights on what to do when we need God’s intervention. As Jacob approached his brother Esau, uncertain of the reception he would receive, he took a crucial step. He was alone with God, and that’s when he encountered God, who transformed his life and destiny. Being alone with God is vital for our desired turnaround.
What does it mean to be alone with God? It means spending time with Him without distractions; no TV, no phone, no social media. Just you and God alone. Being alone with God isn’t always easy; it takes sacrifice and discipline. Jacob didn’t give up after the first, second, or third hour. He kept praying and praying until he got his answer. The Bible says he wrestled with the angel of God until the breaking of the day! Jacob’s determination is a lesson to learn.
When you’re alone with God, it helps you to talk to Him, listen to Him, and ask for His help and guidance concerning the issue at hand. You can share your feelings with Him. This is when God can work in your life and bring about sudden intervention you desires.
Let’s take time to be alone with God and trust Him for a supernatural turnaround. Let’s be like Jacob, who refused to give up until his change came.
