ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..” (Rev 12:11a)
- PERSONAL PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
I want you to believe God with me that today will announce your long-awaited testimony. Whatever challenge you’re facing right now, God has the capacity to turn it around suddenly. However, sudden intervention is often provoked, not just wished for.
To provoke sudden intervention of God, always share the testimony of what He has done in the past. Testimonies are public appreciation to God for what He has done for you in secret. This is also known as praise reports. Testimonies always transfer your battles to God. The story of David and Goliath attests to this.
Please, know that when you share the testimony of what God has done for you, you inspire others to trust Him for their own miracles. The Bible says: “So that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it” (Isaiah 41:20 NIV). Sharing testimonies with others also helps to tap into the spirit of prophecy, “for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev 19:10c). This means, you can predict what God will do next by the testimonies you share with others or hear from others.
David’s confidence to defeat Goliath didn’t come from his strength or abilities, but from remembering how God had helped him in the past and sharing it publicly. He shared with King Saul and his men how God delivered him from a lion and a bear, and that gave him courage to face Goliath.
Beloved, you can learn from David’s example. When you remember God’s past miracles and interventions in your life and share the testimonies with others, it can fuel your faith and give you confidence to face current challenges. When you recall how God helped you before, it helps you trust that He will do it again.
