TEXT: “And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people” (Exo 11:3)
Serving God is highly rewarding. It offers numerous profits. When you serve God, you position yourself to receive spiritual, emotional, and material blessings that enhance our lives and glorify Him.
Another profit of serving God is:
- IT GUARANTEES GREATNESS. The level of your greatness in life cannot supersede the level of your service to God and humanity. Note that to serve God, it requires a humility and meekness. The Bible says, “Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth” (Num 12:3).
When you serve God, you’re not just serving Him; you’re positioning yourself for greatness. The “B” part of today’s anchor scripture says, “…Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.”
Pride comes before a fall. If you’re too big to serve God, then you’re too big for promotion and greatness. God demotes people and promotes people. He is the lifter and builder of men.
Joseph is another man who experienced greatness through serving God. Despite his difficult circumstances, Joseph continued to serve God, and as a result, he was promoted to become the second-in-command in Egypt (Gen 41:40-43).
Your faithfulness and commitment to serving God will similarly propel you to greatness. Remember, promotion comes from God alone, as stated in Psalm 75:6-7, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” May your service to God provoke the release of grace for greatness in the name of Jesus Christ.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: The greatness in you shall emarge this year in Jesus name.
