DAY 18 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3).
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for your life-changing Word. Transform me by your truth via Morning Tea Devotional today, in Jesus name. Amen.”
The Bible promises that God answers prayer, but many of us struggle to experience this reality because we don’t know how to receive answers from God. How do we receive answers to prayer? Praise the God of answers.
In 2Chro 20, we see that Judah’s enemies didn’t disappear immediately after they prayed. In fact, the enemies were still present while they fasted and prayed. Even after God answered their prayers, the enemies continued to organize a siege around the city. However, when Judah engaged the weapon of praise, victory was established.
The Bible says:
“And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness… And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten…” (2Chro 20:21-23).
Someone rightly said, “God performs in prayers, but perfects in praise.” He takes over in prayer, but demonstrates His intervention in praise. Beloved, after every powerful prayer, it takes powerful praise to experience answers.
Praise brings home our miracle. Praise is what sets God to work. As you fast and pray, don’t stop there; also burst forth into praise and worship, and you will see things begin to happen in your life in response to your prayer.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: As you praise God today, your miracles are released, in Jesus name.
