DAY 19 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “…So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad” (1Sam 1:18)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for your life-changing Word. Transform me by your truth via Morning Tea Devotional today, in Jesus name. Amen.”
When God tells us to “call unto Him,” His intention is to answer. However, knowing how to receive these answers can be a challenge for many. So, what more can you do to receive answers to your prayers this season? Act on Your Expectations
After Hannah prayed in the temple, she went on her way, ate, and her countenance was no longer sad. Prior to her prayer, she was deeply grieved, weeping uncontrollably because her counterpart mocked her for her barrenness. Her husband, concerned about her well-being, asked, “…Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?” (1Sam 1:8).
However, after praying, Hannah’s attitude changed. She didn’t wait for physical evidence; instead, she chose to align her actions with her expectations. This decision paved the way for God’s response, and she eventually received her heart’s desire.
In her exaltation, Hannah said, “…For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed” (1Sam 2:3). The weight of your actions determines the response you receive from heaven. God evaluated Hannah’s actions, and they provoked a series of divine visitations. Not only did she receive the son she desired, but she also conceived and bore three more sons and two daughters (1Sam 2:21).
When you allow God’s Word to guide your actions after praying, you can’t miss God’s response. Don’t just confess your answers; begin to act them out! Take positive action based on God’s Word. Demonstrate faith that you’ve received the answer, and God will respond accordingly.
TODAY’S ACTION GUIDELINE:
- Act on your expectations today!
- Give God quality thanks for them.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: As you act on your expectations, you shall see the manifestations, in Jesus name.
