DAY 16 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee” (Prov 23:7)
- PRAYER: “Father, I thank you for the transformative power of your Word. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your truth penetrate my heart and mind, bringing about a life-changing transformation, in Jesus name. Amen.”
In accessing answers to our prayers, our thoughts alignment is very crucial. So beware of negative thoughts.
God responds to our thoughts as much as He does to our speech. This means our words and thoughts carry the same weight in His sight. Jesus often responded to the thoughts of men Him (Matt 9:3-4). Your mind is the battleground in every conflict of life. Until you win the battle in your mind, you won’t experience victory in your life.
As the Bible says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Prov 23:7). Your thoughts have the power to shape your reality, just like your words. However, you cannot be pregnant with negative thoughts and expect positive answers. Someone once said, “When your thoughts are negative, your supplication is frustrated.”
The Bible emphasizes the importance of guarding our thoughts. It says: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Prov 4:23). What goes on in your mind controls the outcomes of your life.
Beloved, to receive answers to prayers, focus on cultivating scriptural thoughts. The woman with the issue of blood, for example, declared in her heart, “If I may but touch His garment, I shall be made whole” (Matt 9:20-22). From within her heart, she drew out virtue that settled her issue of blood permanently.
Dear child of God, don’t abort your answers with negative thoughts. Instead, focus on positive, faith-filled thoughts.
PRAYER: Your answers this season shall not be aborted in Jesus name.
