TEXT: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Luke 6:38 NIV)
PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
In this season of laughter, be reminded that your generosity is one of the ways to provoke joy and laughter, because when you give to others what you desire God to give to you, you open the door for God to release yours swiftly.
Our anchor scripture, in New Living Translation says: “If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over…” To experience this dimension of overflowing laughter, it is important that you recognize the opportunities God places before you daily. It could be your colleague, neighbour, or a stranger.
You can sow seeds of laughter into people’s lives through simple acts such as giving a family financial support, paying someone’s hospital bills or school fees, telling someone how special they are, etc. As you give this little kindness, God will give you much kindness in return (Prov 11:25).
Jesus teaches us that even the smallest acts of kindness, like giving a cup of water, will not go unnoticed (Matt 10:42). Galatians 6:7-8 also says that you will reap what you sow, whether big or small.
Dear child of God, what are you seeking from God this month? Is it laughter, peace, or provision? Who has God placed in your heart to show kindness to? Go ahead, because as you do, God will cause men to show you kindness too.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: I see God raising you as a blessing to many this season and onward, in Jesus name.
