TEXT: “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep… And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Gen 1:2-3)
Say this prayer after me: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
This month of November, in the MTD Family, is our season of laughter. That is God’s agenda for us all. God does not say what He is not ready to do. When He says a word, be assured that He will bring it to pass provided you know what to do to receive it. Today’s anchor scripture reveals how the earth was formless, void, and darkness was everywhere until God’s word came (Gen 1:3). The formless world began to take shape when the word was released.
I don’t know how formless your life or things around you may seem at the moment. However, one thing I do know is that the Lord is giving your life a shape that will bring laughter to you, and all who see you shall laugh with you, in Jesus name. God is watching over this word to perform it in our lives.
What is our responsibility therefore?
- BELIEVE: Our individual responsibility is to believe God and to believe His servants through whom the word was declared. The Bible says: “….Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper” (2Chro 20:20b). You must believe God in order to receive anything from Him. God establishes His word in your life when you believe Him, and He prospers that same word when you believe His servants who gave the word.
Also, your speech is a direct product of your belief. If you believe God, it will show in your speech. The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matt 12:34). Faith is of the heart and it naturally reflects in your mouth.
Keep saying what God says if you will see its manifestation in your life. Keep declaring that your season of laughter has come. God’s promises for you must not depart from your mouth (Joshua 1:8). Do not join others to say negative things about any situation. Do not say what doctors say concerning your current health situation. Whose report will you believe – the doctor’s or Scripture’s?
PRAYER: The Lord shall fill your life with laughter this month, in Jesus name.
