TEXT: “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1Tim 1:18)
Say this prayer after me: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Today is MTD Covenant Day of Mercy and I want us to focus on one vital demand for the fulfillment of prophecies, which is prayer. Pls, know that prophecies are not to entertain or to excite us; prophecies are divine words ordained by God for fulfillment. They are expressions of God’s thoughts and God’s purpose for our life, and it is for us to have foreknowledge of what is going to happen at the appointed time.
The Bible says: “The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand” (Isaiah 14:24).
However, the fulfillment of prophecies requires personal responsibility. No matter how potent a prophetic word may be, it cannot fulfill itself. As the receiver, you have a vital role to play in bringing the prophecy to pass.
According to Scripture, only God’s Hand can bring to pass what His Mouth has spoken (1Kings 8:15). Therefore, this month, we must seek His help to see prophecies fulfilled, and this help is available through prayer (Heb 4:16). You must be ready to engage in spiritual warfare. You must be ready to wrestle with each prophetic word on the altar of prayer. Prophecies are not be watched, but actively pursued through fervent prayer.
Don’t let any prophetic word this month remain dormant; activate it through fervent prayer. Take the prophetic word for this month to the altar of prayer and cry out to God. Prayer turns prophecy into reality.
ACTION STEP:
Approach the altar of prayer today and boldly declare: ‘My season of laughter has come!’ Make demands on the manifestation of this prophecy.
PRAYER: In Jesus name, you shall testify to the faithfulness of God. Your laughter shall manifest as testimony that will inspire many.
