TEXT: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1)
A wise man said: “The secrets of great men are in their stories.” The secrets to unlocking genuine Power from God are hidden in the stories of the apostles. According to today’s anchor scripture, we learn that the disciples were UNITED in one place, and this unity was a crucial factor in their experience of God’s Power. The Bible says, ‘They were all with one accord in one place…’ (Acts 2:1). This oneness was the foundation for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of God’s Power in their lives.
If you and I will experience the Power of God like the apostles, we must emulate their example. We must embrace and promote unity in the body of Christ. Apostle Paul in his writing, urged us to “Endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:3). But today what do we see? Disunity, which has led to a lack of genuine Power in the Church today. All we have is mere religious activities.
It is time we drop our individual views and denominationalism. That you belong to a particular denomination does not mean others in other denominations are unbelievers. It is time we stop castigating one another. Let’s embrace ourselves as brothers and sisters and the Power of God will return to the Church. May God root out every seed of division in our Churches today, and may we experience the power of unity, in Jesus name.
Secondly, the Bible says that the apostles were united in ONE PLACE. They were all together in one place (Upper Room) when the Power of God descended upon them. You must remain in one place appointed by God if you will experience His Power. It is time to settle down in one place so that His Presence will transform you. Many are wandering from place to place, seeking miracles, yet finding none. It is time you stop chasing miracles here and there; abide in God’s Presence and His Power will manifest in your life. You will not lose your place, in Jesus name.
PRAYER: I prophesy today, your days of struggle are over. This new day is open for you for favour, for promotion and for lifting. You will not be stranded, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
