TEXT: “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, THE OIL OF JOY for mourning, the garment of praise for the SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS…” (Isaiah 61:3 – My emphasis)
Let me start by saying this again that praise carries enormous power to turn things around for our good. Praise is one of the powerful weapons of war available to us. However, the devil is working day and night to keep us off praise frequency. He, the devil has mapped out strategies to keep us from praising God. Among these strategies is to weigh us down with HEAVINESS.
According to today’s anchor scripture, heaviness is a spirit. It is one of the key strategies of Satan to rob us of genuine praise. The devil knows that with the spirit of heaviness in you, God is absent, and when God is absent, you become a cheap prey in his hands. You will not be a victim, in Jesus name.
Also God said in today’s anchor scripture that He has given us the oil of joy for mourning and garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isa 61:3). If He has given it to us, then be sure, He will not take it away. The devil is the one that steals joy, so that he can make victims of people. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of joy. If you lost your joy, Satan has stolen it. Every time you cannot find joy, just know that the devil is at work (John 10:10). That is the time to rise against the devil and take back your joy. It is not the time to apportion blames or to be downcast.
Say this with me: “I take my joy back.” Your joy is restored, in Jesus name.
The important part of spiritual warfare is to step back and praise God instead of giving in to the spirit of heaviness. When one is very sick, facing extreme problems or even feeling overwhelmed by the situation around, nothing brings more joy than taking time to praise God.
PRAYER: I cast out the spirit of heaviness and depression and I decree the restoration of your joy, in Jesus name!

Ensure you give to God at least 30mins uninterrupted praise today! Wonders shall be your new experience this month, in Jesus name.

This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
