TEXT: “Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life” (Gen 45:5)
In the journey of life, you must know how to trust God even when life seems not to make sense. There is a purpose in every delay one experiences in life. Perhaps, the reason why you are in the waiting room of God is because He wants you to lean more on Him. Trust His timing, and strengthen your faith in the end.
How you respond in this delay period will influence others in their decisions to follow Christ. It is possible that going through all of this mess in your life will help you lead someone else through a similar situation later on. The delay is for a purpose, it is never a denial. Like Joseph, you may not see the purpose for the delay and the struggles until much later. But also like Joseph, you need to remain faithful and trust that God knows what is happening.
Beloved, God may seem silent but that doesn’t mean He has abandoned you, He is actually at work in the background. Like a building going up behind a wall, we cannot see the progress but, that doesn’t mean nothing is happening. God’s good plans for you are being carried out and this delay is needed to prepare you for those plans.
Joseph’s life points out to us that even tragedy and evil that one experiences while waiting on God can be part of God’s plan for good. Don’t give up on God because, whether you see evidence of it right now or not, God will come through for you. His delay is not His denial!
PRAYER: The situation in your life right now shall end in praise, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “God’s delay is not a denial.”
