ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth” (1Kings 18:1)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for your Word today. Let it minister to my heart and mind, transforming my life into a better person, in Jesus name – Amen.“
More often than not, God’s instructions seem unconnected to our expected solution (John 2:5). God told Elijah: “Go, show thyself unto Ahab.” What does that have to do with sending rain to end the drought? Yet Elijah obeyed.
Beloved, what instructions has God given you? Which ones have you obeyed? Or are you sitting and watching because they do not sound like the solution you’re expecting, like Naaman?
Read the instruction the Prophet gave to him: “So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean” (2Kings 5:9-10). Just as simple as that.
But what was his response? “But Naaman was wroth and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper” (2Kings 5:11).
How many people are like Naaman today? “I thought it will be like this or like that” has kept many from their miracles. Thank God for Naaman’s servant, who prevailed upon his master. The Bible says: “Then he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh came again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean” (2Kings 5:14).
Beloved, God has more than a million ways to end that drought in your life. So, stop questioning His methods. Don’t be a victim of disobedience. Obey that instruction no matter how it sounds, because in it is your abundance of blessings.

Receive grace for prompt obedience in Jesus name.
