TEXT: “And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and and shape my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Serving God to the point of rewards is a choice we must individually make. This is because God rewards individuals, not groups. The Bible says: “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive ‘HIS OWN REWARD according to HIS OWN LABOUR'” (1Cor 3:8).
Beloved, if you want 2025 to be a year of rewards for you, then make the choice to serve God now. Serving God guarantees a return of God’s blessings, covering all aspects of our lives.
In the anchor scripture above, Joshua told the nation of Israel to decide who they would serve. They had to choose between serving the One True God, which guarantees blessings, or serving the gods of the nations, which has negative consequences.
The main point I want to emphasize this morning is that everyone must make their own choice to enjoy rewards this year. No one can make this decision for you; it’s your choice.
Hear it again: “Serving God is a personal decision that requires a conscious effort. It’s a choice that must be made individually, and it’s a choice that has eternal consequences.”
As we begin this new month, make a deliberate decision to serve God with all your heart, mind, and soul. Choose to obey God’s commands, follow His guidance, and trust His promises. By doing so, you can be sure of a bountiful harvest of rewards.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Receive grace to make the right choice thereby attracting rewards from God, in Jesus name.
