DAY 12 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST)
TEXT: “Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief…Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting” (Matt 17:19-21 Paraphrased)
- PRAYER: “Father, I thank you for the transformative power of your Word. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your truth penetrate my heart and mind, bringing about a life-changing transformation, in Jesus name. Amen.”
As believers, we’re often faced with challenges that seem insurmountable, but the Word of God reminds us that we have kingdom mysteries, such as prayer and fasting, at our disposal to overcome these challenges.
In today’s anchor scripture, Jesus clearly tells His disciples, and by extension, us, that certain miracles require prayer and fasting to manifest. Beloved, this wasn’t just a suggestion; it was a divine instruction. The disciples had failed to cast out a demon from a lunatic boy, and Jesus attributed their failure to their unbelief, which stemmed from a lack of prayer and fasting.
Furthermore, prayer and fasting is not just a religious ritual; it is a potent tool that helps believers tap into the power of divinity, to break spiritual strongholds, and to cast out devils. If we embrace prayer and fasting as a lifestyle, we’re sure to overcome obstacles, defeat demonic forces, and experience the miraculous power of God in our lives.
To maximize this therfore, identify the miracle you need this season. What challenges are you facing that require a miracle? Be specific in your prayer altar today. After praying, believe that God has answered you, and you will receive the miracle you need.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: God is showing Himself strong on your behalf this season, in Jesus name.

- Father, show Yourself strong on the behalf of every MTDian this season, in Jesus name (Zeph 3:17).
- Now, present your requests to God (Phil 4:6).
DAILY DECLARATION: “This year, 2025, I step into my New Era of Dominion by the Wisdom of God and I commit to serving God faithfully by the help of the Holy Spirit. As a result, my Rewards shall manifest quickly. Amen and amen.”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Identify the miracle you need this season. Be specific in your prayer altar today. Believe God for answers.”
