THE RESPONSIBILITY OF FREEDOM

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“We remember all the fish we used to eat for free in Egypt…..But now our appetites are gone, and day after day we have nothing to eat but this manna!” (Num 11:5-6 NLT Paraphrased)

PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for your Word. As I read today’s MTD, speak to me directly, in Jesus name – Amen.

Freedom is a blessing, but it comes with responsibility. When the children of Israel were in Egypt, though they were slaves, but they had predictable provision. Food was available, shelter was certain, and decisions were made for them. They had no control over their lives, but they also had no responsibility.

When God brought them out, everything changed. Freedom was no longer comfortable because it required faith, obedience, and personal responsibility. They now had to trust God daily for manna, follow His instructions step by step, and move only at His command. But instead of embracing this new life, they began to complain and longed to return to Egypt.

This pattern is still evident today. Many people pray for financial freedom, spiritual growth, or leadership opportunities, but when it comes, they begin to draw back because of its demands. Beloved, freedom always carries the weight of responsibility.

You cannot enter your Promised Land if you keep longing to go back to where you used to be. God did not bring you out to abandon you, He brought you out to train you, grow you, and to establish you. So, don’t run away from the responsibility that comes with freedom.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Receive grace to take responsibility, in Jesus name.
